Ride report
The AK Red is available in two fascinating versions: a lively pop art version with an eye-catching basetop surface and an elegant original version with the new elastAK surface. Both models are characterized by their special properties.
Basetop vs. elastAK: The Basetop surface of the Popart version is made of the same material as the ski base and gives the ski a reactive dynamic. It provides stability and creates a rebound effect that makes the ski lively. In contrast, the elastAK surface of the original absorbs fine vibrations during the ride, resulting in incomparable calm and stability and a feeling of extreme safety. ElastAK is also easy on the joints.
The geometry of the AK Red is versatile to support a wide range of riding styles and ability levels. Its classic waist, with 67mm in the middle of the ski under the binding and the narrow ski tail ensure remarkable maneuverability. The AK Red reacts quickly to turning movements and makes initiating turns a breeze. Similar to the Pink and the Signature, the AK Red is characterized by its forgiveness and is effortless to control.
